Reading Well Books on Prescription for common mental health conditions

Reading Well Books on Prescription helps people manage their own health and well-being through recommended self-help books, because everything changes when we read.

Reading Well for long term conditions

As part of its successful Reading Well Books on Prescription scheme, The Reading Agency and Society of Chief Librarians are launching Reading Well for long term conditions. The scheme is part of the Society of Chief Librarian’s Public Library Health Offer and has been developed with leading health organisations and people with lived experience and their carers.
It will be available in English public libraries from July 2017.

For more information on the scheme, including lists of books offered, visit the Reading Well website
