Latest Service Updates

We are continually reviewing our service offer. Please keep an eye on this page for latest updates.

You can continue to refer via our online self-referral forms or talk to your GP or another health professional who can refer you. When we receive your referral, a member of our team will review your needs. At this stage, they may call you to discuss your needs further, or you may receive a text message, email or letter from us asking for you to call us at a convenient time to book an assessment.

Services for adults

We are currently experiencing extended waiting times for assessment in some parts of our adult service. Our team will review your referral as promptly as possible and where we have longer waits, someone will soon be in touch with you to discuss your needs.

Return of group sessions

We are happy to announce the return of our adult wellbeing service group sessions. This will mean that following an assessment with one of our practitioners, one of the below group interventions may be discussed with you if appropriate.

We are in the process of reintroducing the following:

  • Managing Overwhelming Emotions (MOE) (October 2023)

  • Living with suicidal thoughts (workshop) (December 2023)

  • Recovery Through Activity (January 2024)

  • STEPPS EI Group (January 2024)

Further details will be added soon.

Our services for adults remain open for 1:1 support. We are offering increased levels of support via video conferencing in order to improve accessibility and to ensure safe working practise. We have returned to offering face-to-face support although this is at a reduced rate compared to pre-pandemic levels and provision of this is on the basis of clinical need. Further information can be found on our Adult service pages.

Services for children and young people

We currently have long waits of several months for therapy appointments in our service due to high levels of referrals. Unfortunately, waiting times for some specialist service offers can be up to a year. We therefore encourage people to make a referral as soon as possible.

Further information can be found on our Children and Young People (CYP) service pages.

Closure of Survivors’ Network, RISE and BERTS therapy waiting lists

Survivors' Network have made the difficult decision to close the following waiting lists for therapy with immediate effect, from 5pm on Friday 11th November 2022):

  • Young people’s therapy in East Sussex (for minimum period of 6 months)

All their other services remain open as usual.

Please see the full statement here on the Survivors’ Network website.

BERTS (who support refugees and asylum seekers with trauma) is temporarily closing to new clinical referrals due to extended waiting lists and a very high demand for treatment places.
